Because this comes up a LOT at THR, here is a list of all threads where a THR member has asked about a wife / girlfriend / husband / friend / relative who was opposed to guns / self defense / CCW / whatever, with the implication that the THR member was facing a choice: "It's the guns or me!" and what the result was.

Threads like that don't start because those guys are keeping quiet so no one else snatches their partner up.

Perhaps we could just have a sticky that excerpts the non-stupid ideas for a generic fill in the blank "My ... won't let me ... my guns in the ...! Should I ...?" thread.

It wouldn't take up much space and we could just send folks who have these problems to read it.

I dislike reading them and hashing them out, but people having anti relatives, friends, wives, and girlfriends is definitely gun-related.

Feel sorry for all concerned...

The odd thing is, more guys devote time to the gun issue than they do to the marriage issue and I THINK if it were the other way around they wouldn't have the problem to begin with.

We could give you many reasons and IDEAS on working with this TYPE of person but personally... I would not even want to Seriously DATE someone who did not feel the same way that I did in PRO GUN issues and in some other political/freedom/self defense issues worse off MARRY one!

I could make you a list of things and so could other people.

Somewhere - the person (Male or female.) might change their GUN views and, again, she or he may not.

It would be something for you to consider down the road when it comes to SERIOUS dating and/or 'marriage'.
